With the Instinct Solar Tactical, Garmin is launching a GPS multisport smartwatch with an exclusive design. The PowerGlass solar lens converts sunlight into battery energy. This innovative technology does not replace the primary charging source, however it can extend the time between charges. In full sunlight with an intensity of 100%, it receives approximately 50,000 lux. The robust housing has been tested according to military standards. In expedition mode, the GPS runtime is extended up to 68 days. With the Power Manager, the power consumption of the individual sensors and functions can be adjusted in order to achieve even more performance.
